A month after my miscarriage and D&C I had to go back for a check-up. Gyne was happy that my body was working again I had, as happened the previous time, my period had started like clockwork. Scans showed no damage, all seemed fine but why did we have to go through this?
We travelled a long and winding path after and I had many a visit to the vampires to take blood samples and run tests. They did discover that my childhood MMR inoculation had not worked and working with kids and trying to fall pregnant I did not want to run the risk of getting any of these diseases. With this we hit another pothole and I had to have the MMR inoculation which meant I could not conceive within 3 months otherwise the risk to a baby would be too great.
